This pretty upcycled bag is completely vegan. True to the motto "Make something new from something old!", I made this versatile crossbody bag from rescued textiles. This makes it not only unique but also super sustainable. :)
The black velvet fabric I used was originally a curtain, and the hand embroidery came from a tablecloth. The two-way zipper allows you to quickly open and close the fabric fanny pack from either side. Inside, I've also sewn in a large slip pocket measuring 18 cm x 12 cm (W x H) for your phone, keys, or wallet. A small loop allows you to secure your AirPods or keys with a carabiner.
The webbing is made from Econyl® yarn. Econyl® is produced from recycled fishing nets, old carpets, textile scraps, and plastic waste, making it 100% sustainable. It is 4 cm wide and adjustable in length. The two carabiner hooks allow for easy attachment or replacement of the webbing.
The red pom-pom on the zipper pull is the finishing touch and was handmade from T-shirt yarn.
